If you have been blogging for a while, what is your favorite sentence or blogpost that you have ever written? Is it diabetes related or just life related? Pants on Backwards My favorite Blog was written on TUDiabetes on November 13, 2013. It is titled Pants On Backwards. The story is about a little guy I met one day and his mother or caregiver. The little guy had his pants on backwards which elicited comments (mostly from the adult caretaker) about his reluctance to put his pants on the correct way. The adult proclaimed loudly about this...

SReprinted from TUDiabetes.org August 8. 2013, Reality Game Show Suppose there was a reality show for diabetics? I envision a house full of meters, syringes, pens, pumps, test strips and apple juice. You know right now, television is giving us something called big brother, summer camp, I think the bachelorette just ended, Dancing with the stars is coming back, the Biggest loser (no not my HS nickname), and Alex Trebek made a 9 year boy old cry over misspelling emancipation. So why not have a diabetic game show. Let’s call it Diabetic Wars....

A friend of mine Molly Schreiber writes a wonderful blog about her life with RA and diabetes. On May 2, 2015 she wrote a terrific item titled ‘Unpredictable’. In this blog she remark’s about how unpredictable life is with RA. She will get no complaint from me on that. Her words started me thinking about the world of disease management and how unpredictable we who have RA and or Diabetes have it. Yesterday morning I woke up with a raging blood sugar, I was 238, I felt crazy bad and I had this terrific headache. When I took the morning...

Reprinted from TUDiabetes.org December 14, 2015 Welcome to Planet Diabetes. This is the 4th planet of the 5th solar system of the 10th ring of the Health Galaxy. It is well populated. Planet diabetes is a bit strange. Things happen here that are not observed elsewhere in Health Galaxy. These oddities make our observations particularly difficult to understand. Consider yourself a visitor here. However like the California hotel you can check out but you can never leave. The truth is that once you visit here you are always...

My diabetes supply cabinet is not out of control? Ok, I will admit, it is out of control. It is so out of control that the cabinet I use barely holds all the diacrap I have accumulated. In short my diacrap runneth over. Definitions Definition of diacarp: All the stuff I accumulate related too and used in the treatment of diabetes and other aliments I might have. This especially includes all the stuff I do not use, but at some level gives me reassurance that I have enough stuff. Definition of enough stuff: More than I had a month ago....
